Pro Tools 101

8 Weeks of classes: January-March 2012

That's 8 live classes (one a week), labs, assignments, tutorial videos, and support from your instructor between classes. That's two months of college-level Pro Tools classes!

This course will give you an in-depth understanding about the important parts of the Pro Tools interface, the track types, creating loop based arrangements, and basic recording, editing, and mixing of audio and MIDI. There is much more to using Pro Tools than just hitting "record". There are numerous features that will enhance your creativity, workflow, and the quality of your music. 

Don't worry--you'll receive email reminders before each live class begins, along with links to the session files used during class, as well as your lab assignments and files for that week. You'll also get access to a video recording of each class to review, and you'll also be able to contact your instructor in between classes with any problems you're having.

Pro Tools 102

This is an advanced course. If you are not already comfortable working in Pro Tools, you   should take Pro Tools 101 first. 

This Pro Tools 102 course covers more advanced Pro Tools topics, designed to get you creating, editing, and mixing amazing tracks. You'll use the powerful techniques of Comping and Pocketing to make your tracks perfect. You'll get the tricks to using Elastic Audio and Beat Detective. You'll also learn the MIDI editing techniques used by the pros, along with more advanced mixing tricks and plug-in settings. Virtual Instruments and automation will also be covered in more detail.
